Sweeney-Todd 208
Hi James.. First step taken today, plank on its way, went for American Black Walnut in the end. Timber is kiln dried, less than 12% water content Bill. Quote Link to post
Sweeney-Todd 208
Hi James...all. Well the Plank turned up today. For anybody that's interested, bought the blank from Custom Stock Ltd Tel 0114 2472947 spoke to Richard, very helpful guy. The cost for the blank £40.00 + £15.00 P&P, which I thought was very good. American Black Walnut. Quite daunting looking at it in its raw state Next job is to think about tool's and draw an outline to make a template. Then the fun begins Bill. Quote Link to post
Sweeney-Todd 208
Another shot of the Blank. Should have some nice grain. Apparently the realy nice grainy stocks are made from the root of the tree, VERY expensive and quite rare. Bill. Quote Link to post
